(More) Retarded Criminals. Terror Deterrents. Some other shit.

Lets start off with some humour.

Burglar Taunts Victim Over Facebook.

Basically some bitch got her laptop and a few other possessions nicked from her. And the laptop presumably had her Facebook details on it and the thief logged in using his haxor skillz and rubbed it in her face.

Because the guys grammar is absolutely appalling we can guess he's not very technically proficient. Which means the chances are he hasn't got a clue about Proxy servers or anything else that could obscure his identity.

If the Cops follow this up (Unlikely, alas.) chances are they can nail this morons stupid ass by finding his IP based on Facebook IP logs.

It also raises another very important point.

What happens if your PC gets jacked or hacked and all your details are on it?

CC, forum logins, other accounts, Etc.

In short you're screwed.

Also tracking your laptop too if it gets jacked. I've thought of having some kind of automated login script on the PC. When your PC's Internet browser, whether it be IE, Opera, Firefox, Chrome, whatever is started it logs onto a server where the IP can be recorded and given to the appropriate authorities.

As well as that one could fit a GPS tracker into the laptop which makes a HD format in an attempt to prevent tracking worthless. Thing is it would eventually pay for itself.

There is a bitch of a problem though. Laptops are getting smaller which means a tracking device you bought in 2005 which could fit in laptops from the same time won't fit in laptops of today.

I'm sure the tracking devices will get smaller and cheaper in which case it's no problem for the future but it is for today.

Stingers for boats...

Some innovators have come up with a device for boats which acts like a stinger on a car.

The purpose is to stop a speedboat travelling at high speeds containing explosives from moving. Naturally it's anti-terror bs but I may have noticed a fatal flaw in the idea behind it.

I assume it's intention is to prevent a USS Cole from happening on British soil.

Whilst I believe with the device featured in the video they could stop the speedboat who's to say they won't 'surrender' wait for the Pork to approach them before blowing themselves and a group of Cops up with them?

It's much more likely that the Royal Navy who are now patrolling the Atlantic to prevent Coke Mules from delivering their load will end up using the device since it's a lot more time efficient to have a dinghy stop 'em rather than a frigate chase and fire at the Coke Mules speedboats.

A lot of Navy Dinghy's are being used to apprehend the smugglers but it still takes time. Time which could be reduced via implementation of the device in the article.

Just some thoughts. That's all.

Some interesting links...

Both perfect illustrations of the average criminals stupidity.

I think this story is quite funny too.

___

Found a cool Firefox extension called IMacro.

It's useful for spamming and doing the same mundane tasks over and over again.

___

Found this interesting too.

Some Brazilian TV presenter was bumping off people to boost the ratings and material for his crime show.

Sort of reminds me of the dude from 'Natural Born Killers' who presents 'America's Most Wanted' and how he capitalizes on the deaths of others to boost his shows ratings.

All for now, expect more for later.

Dumb Crooks - AVG is shit. - Visa Security 'Glitch' - Cash Converter flaw

I thought this was funny. Worthy of a post, at least.

Some dumb fuck gets imprisoned for robbing a bank. Gets released and robs the same bank again.

I wonder if this guys parents were siblings...

Anyone else wondering the same thing?

That's the full article, if any of you are interested.

Downloaded the new AVG from Demon***. As anti-virus's go, it's ok. It fucked with MSN, IE and Skype. I don't use IE much (Just to log into GMX.) but being without Skype and MSN was a nuiscance.

You'd also think a repuatble company, such as AVG would test their products enough to ensure that programmes like MSN and IE which are used by one billion + are compatible with their software.

It's fine for me since I paid (Jack.) for it, but for someone who earns fuck all and spends £30/£40/$60/$70 on an anti-virus and realises they can't use their favourite programmes it's a pain in the arse.

Not only that but I read through the advice AVG are giving to 'customers' experiencing the same problem as myself. The advice is shit. I followed the instructions word-for-word.

Did it help? God forbid.

As well as 'test-driving' various programmes I also realised a flaw in Anglo-American financial transactions via a Visa card.

This is quite interesting.

In the UK when you purchase something online you are required to give the following.

  • Your cards respective CVV.
  • Matching addresses.
...And several other things.

A lot of sites in the States don't require the CVV.

Not only that but they also don't require a matching address too.

So I could obtain a UK Visa number, (Not at all difficult.) sell it to a customer over the pond who requires no other details than the actual Visa number and expiration date.

It is worth mentioning something.

Not all sites only require a Visa # and not all sites can be bluffed by any old address. It's generally speaking the more reputable companies which require more information, which isn't surprising.

In the extract of my PDF that was published on Rorta.Net I talked about machines which could convert notes into coinage. It's useful for the sake of money laundering, because no one wants to fiddle with stolen notes which might have had their serial numbers recorded.

I found an interesting thing about these machines.

Often enough, they'll accept a damaged note which wouldn't be accepted in a store or bank, because it's damaged.

I've got a lot more to post, but it's time and carpel tunnel* which prevent me from doing so.

*Jokes.

First post... FUCK YEAH!

Remember to check back.

On this blog I'll be discussing the following...
  • Crime and what the various and loyal police departments of the World can do to prevent it.
  • Technology
  • The PDF I am currently authoring... "What They Don't Want You To Know".
  • A load of other random scheizer which I cannot be bothered to detail.
Anyways, peace.
